Family Visit

My cute nieces, JinHee and Solleep (doesn't she look like Dani, here?)
JinHee is in 2nd grade, now and is built solid as a rock. I think I must've been built the same way as a kid b/c I remember people making comments about it. Solleep is in 7th grade. She is learning English at a Hogwan so she can communicate with her pahbo emo (auntie).
My sister and wicked little nephew, JonWon.

Look at the naughty boy sticking out his tongue!

We had an intimate Thanksgiving meal with 300 of our friends (TCIS's annual dinner transported to GSIS). There is much to be thankful for and lots of good food at the dinner. Of course, we had to get a little shopping in the next day to walk off the meal. Had great Thai food at a nearby restaurant. We splurged and bought a tree with all the trimmings. Charlie worked his magic with lights and strung them along our ceiling and around our nativity scene. Now, all we need is a little snow.
We made it through the first quarter. Whew! And, Christmas break is just around the corner...Hello, Philippines! Can't wait to see the Ronzi's and drink a mango shake.
Here are some pics from my trip to Guam in October for my cousin's wedding. Pics of our cozy, Christmasy home to come.

Summer in Alaska (this update is for gijoejw! Thanks for the prompt.)
Watch out Mt. McKinley, here we come!
Our sweet dog, Maggie, reminded us to stop & sniff the ... flowers.
More artsie, fartsie. Chasing Shamu...we got to see one breach, Wow!
A plane ride up & around Mt. McKinley, breath taking! And the heavens declare u r God and the mtns rejoice!
My crazy Alaskan Chuzins.
What a great summer. Thought I'd reminisce as our summer is about to end...we have Open House tomorrow and 1st day of school on Monday. With our crazy, wacked out schedule, summer memories will be quickly replaced with frantic lesson planning, grading, and a flurry of school activities. The past month and a half has been spend in meetings, meetings, and more meetings in preparation for this time. Can't wait to meet the kids!!

New Year
Of all the flights I have made to Korea, this one was the best. Only 1/3 full, direct from Anchorage (so only 8 hours and a few minutes), no crying babies, and no one digging their knees into the back of the seat. Mr. Chang drove us to our apartment and we did not have to wait another 4 hours for the rest of the staff. Nice. We have AC in the apartment! Score. This is the first time I have been able to unpack my luggage the same day I arrived. Could it get any better? How about with a rock hard bed and couch cushions you could bounce a dime off of?
Off to bed, I've just hit the wall.
Someday, I will work on fixing up this page.
